The Burtons 2010

Wow....I haven't done anything with these characters in YEARS.
So i decided to make a little doodle of them in my new style.

The Burtons:

nyways, here's the premise in short:
"The Burtons."
When a little baby boy is abandoned by his parents, he is taken in by a kindly family of ghosts! As David (the boy) grows up, he realizes that having a ghost family has made him kind of an outcast in school. But that doesn't bother him much, because he knows that despite his "no-blood" relationship to his family, they're still his family, regardless of any eccentricities.....even dead ones.
So, basically, his mother's a total neat freak/germophobe, his father is a Victorian England-wannabe-know-it-all who is always trying to give his son the best advice he can ("Remember son, an apple a day keeps the tax man at bay!") His little sister is a Poltergeist in training, going to a separate school for the dead in another dimension. But that doesn't stop her from ditching and coming back to the living world to cause mischief for David. And last but not least, his uncle was an inventor when he was alive, and still invents strange gadgets and contraptions in their house's basement.
However, the plot thickens, because an evil ghostbuster-type scientist lives next door and is always trying to capture David and his family to do experiments on them, and show the world that ghosts DO exist. So David's always gotta stop him before it's too late!
Also, there's a greedy businessman who is always trying to bulldoze their house over to make a big mall parking lot, a strict, conservative child-services woman who is always trying to take David away from his ghost-family, and not to mention the Judge of the Afterlife is always sending his right-hand man the Grim Reaper to make his family look bad, therefore sending them permanently out of the living world and into the afterlife!!!

It's up to David to balance all this with his normal life at school. Tough, isn't it?
